On August 8, 2025, ECOS Eye Hospital, in collaboration with TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), organized a free eye screening camp at TPSODL’s Central Store premises in Khajuria. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about eye health and address potential vision problems through early detection and timely intervention.

Access to quality eye care is crucial, yet often delayed until symptoms become severe. Recognizing this, both organizations joined hands to bring specialized services directly to employees at their workplace, ensuring convenience and encouraging participation. Senior executives from TPSODL and senior staff members of ECOS Eye Hospital attended the event, underscoring the shared commitment to preventive healthcare and employee well-being.

The camp was manned by experienced medical personnel from ECOS Eye Hospital and equipped with the necessary tools to carry out thorough eye examinations. Employees underwent vision screening, refraction tests, and received spectacle prescriptions, with some even getting spectacles dispensed on the spot. Screening for other eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy was also conducted, with referrals made to ECOS Eye Hospital’s base facility for further evaluation and treatment where necessary.

A total of 89 employees were examined during the camp. Many were advised on corrective measures for refractive errors, while others received guidance on maintaining healthy vision. Participants were also educated on the importance of regular check-ups, taking breaks from prolonged screen exposure, ensuring proper lighting, and following a balanced diet to support eye health.

This initiative demonstrated how corporate partnerships can effectively combine resources and expertise to benefit employees. Both ECOS Eye Hospital and TPSODL expressed their intent to continue similar health programs in the future, extending their reach to more locations and communities.
