ECOS Eye Hospital, established in 1991, is the first private NABH-accredited eye hospital in Odisha, located in Berhampur. The hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and comprehensive eye care services using advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies such as Zeiss IOL Master 700, Zeiss OCT 500, Fundus Camera, Perimetry, Green Laser, Pachymetry, Alcon Phaco Centurion (Silver & Gold), and Alcon Phaco Laureate systems. In addition to in-hospital services, ECOS Eye Hospital extends its reach to rural and underserved populations through a digital mobile eye care van, conducting outreach programs and community eye health camps. The hospital is also in the process of expanding its network across Odisha to make quality eye care accessible to more people.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Ophthalmologist at ECOS Eye Hospital, Berhampur. The Ophthalmologist will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular diseases and disorders.

• Performing cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries.

• Providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care.

• Conducting pre- and post-operative patient evaluations.

• Collaborating with optometrists, nursing, and diagnostic teams to ensure holistic patient care.

• Participating in outreach programs, community eye camps, and tele-ophthalmology initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• M.S. / D.N.B. (Ophthalmology) — Freshers and Retired Ophthalmologists are welcome to apply.

• Valid State Medical Council Registration to practice as an Ophthalmologist.

• Proficiency in medical and surgical ophthalmology, particularly cataract surgery (phacoemulsification preferred).

• Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and communication skills.

• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and ethical medical practice.

• Willingness to participate in training, research, and outreach activities.

• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest developments in ophthalmology.
